Technical note:
If the seat surface of the seal on the cylinder head or the valve stem itself is polished or scored, oil leakage will continue even after installing a new seal; in this case, the axial clearance of the valve stem and the health of the contact surface must be checked, otherwise oiling the timing chamber is inevitable.

Identifying the location of the oil leak:
Symptoms:
Oil leakage from around the pulley or timing cover
Oiling the timing belt or its chamber
Reduced engine oil level without obvious leaks under the car
Smell of burnt oil or light smoke around the engine
